Brighton currently sit third in the table and are unbeaten so far in the Championship.

Manager Chris Hughton, through a series of clever defensive changes and important transfers, has turned them into a more confident outfit that will contend for the top six.

Whilst many would argue that Brighton do not have the strength in depth to go the full distance this season, their squad is certainly brimming with a number of superb players high on confidence.

From the solid partnership of captain Gordon Greer and Lewis Dunk, they have given them a good base to build from and the addition of Liam Rosenior has made them hard to break down.

Beram Kayal and Dale Stephens have been industrious in midfield, creating plenty of chances and nipping in with goals as well.

Players who have been at Brighton longer like David Stockdale and Kazenga Lualua are in a rich vein of form as well as the new players, gelling well like Tomer Hemed who has made a fine start to his Brighton career with five goals in seven games.

The Congolese winger has finally found form for Brighton this season, and will prove to be crucial to Brighton's promotion challenge.

From his excellent winning goal in the season opener to a finely struck winner against Blackburn, he has four goals in all competitions and finally looks relaxed at the AMEX.

He was named player of the month in the Championship for August, and is aready seen as an early contender for team of the season.

His pace, skill and flare has made him a target for Premier League clubs and at 24, he has a long career ahead of him.

Even if he can't lead Brighton to promotion this season, a Premier League move will still be possibly on the cards.

The 21-year-old has been bubbling away at Brighton for a few seasons now, and is being given some first team chances.

He took advantage of one of them by scoring his first Championship goal for Brighton against Leeds.

March has also earned a call up to the England U21 squad and has played for them.

The winger is maturing slowly with decent pace and technical ability and is bound to be a Premier League player in the future.

Lewis Dunk

The Brighton defender was linked all summer long to a switch to fellow Championship side Fulham, but he opted to stay and so far it looks the right decision.

His partnership with Greer has been essential to Brighton's unbeaten start with their defence only leaking 11 goals.

Dunk is known for his aerial ability and is known for providing a solid threat from set pieces, given his height and ability in the air, but was often criticised for not working hard enough on the defensive part of his game.

But he has certainly improved that this season and is a leader on the pitch.

His form is essential to whether the side can maintain their good start or not, but even if they fail to get promotion, many Premier League clubs will surely be lining up to take the plunge for Dunk.

At the age of just 22, looks like a very talented individual, who'll no doubt go far in the game.

His ability to pick a pass is well documented and he has formed good understanding with fellow midfielders Beram Kayal and Dale Stephens, who may be Premier League bound too.

Jake Forster-Caskey

A central midfielder who at the age of 21 is also a regular fixture in the Brighton team.

He also has 12 caps for the England U21's showing that he has experience despite his young age.

Forster-Caskey is a dazzling prospect who is very good off the ball and has good passing ability.
