Bolton Wanderers' 1-0 win against MK Dons on Saturday was their third on the bounce in League One and saw them move into positive points for the first time in the 2019/20 campaign–having started the season with a 12-point deduction.

Keith Hill's side are now 12 points adrift from safety and despite the fact they're certainly moving in the right direction, staying in the division remains a gargantuan task.

The Trotters have seen their squad decimated by financial issues in recent years, particularly this summer when they were left relying on members of their youth squad to step up.

The Football Ventures takeover allowed them to bring in a number of loan and free-agent signings, but the early part of the season has revealed that there are some exciting young talents in the Bolton squad.

With that in mind, here are the five players at the Macron Stadium who will be worth millions in the future.

The 19-year-old forward was one of the Trotters young players that was forced to step up into the first team at the start of the season and performed admirably.

Darcy made eight appearances in the 2019/20 campaign, featuring across the frontline and scoring his first professional goal against Rochdale in the Carabao Cup.

The teenager's early-season performances have attracted the attention of some big clubs, with the likes of Rangers and Leicester City reported to be interested.

The Romanian midfielder spent last season on loan at Salford City and has been a really useful option for Bolton this term.

A versatile midfielder, Politic has made 15 appearances for the Trotters and found the net twice.

The 19-year-old appears to have attracted the attention of clubs higher up the English football pyramid already, with Aston Villa and Wolves understood to be interested.

The Stoke City loanee has been impressive since arriving at Bolton, scoring twice in seven league games, and helped bring their upturn in form but you can't help but feel there is so much more to come.

A product of the Potters academy, the 20-year-old winger developed through the Belgian youth sides and is someone I expect to see playing above League One level next season, if not in January.

Zouma has fallen out of favour in recent weeks but the 21-year-old had been a mainstay in the Trotters XI for much of the season–making 15 appearances.

The centre-back is the brother of Chelsea's Kurt Zouma and has a similar athletic build and playing style.

One of the things that is most impressive about the Bolton defender is his confidence on the ball and with ball-playing centre-backs popular in the modern game that is likely to raise his worth.

Arguably the most exciting young talent in Hill's squad, Earl joined on loan from Preston North End in the summer.

The 21-year-old is capable of playing as either a left-back or a centre-back and is good in possession, as well as being very solid defensively.

Injury has restricted his season so far but he returned to great effect against MK Dons and looks set to play an important role moving forward.
