Blackburn Rovers still have an outside shot of reaching the Championship’s play-offs when the season restarts later this month.

Of course, Tony Mowbray’s side are still something of an outside bet, but there’s plenty to play for with 27 points on the table still.

Whilst Mowbray will be looking no further than the next nine games, there’s little denying that an interesting summer is awaiting clubs in the Championship.

The state of football could dictate how the summer transfer window goes for many clubs, but we are still expecting a number of scenarios to present themselves to Blackburn.

With that in mind, we dive into FIVE scenarios we believe are possible…

This is the obvious place to start with Blackburn.

Dack is their best player and someone who will be on the radar of Premier League clubs in time.

He’s had a bad injury, which might strengthen Blackburn’s chances of keeping him, but we know he’s got so many admirers.

There will be interest, undoubtedly.

In Dack’s absence, Armstrong has stepped up to the plate and has been delivering some fine performances.

He’s scored 12 goals and registered six assists this season, with the 23-year-old visibly growing into a top talent in the Championship.

A few could be sniffing around him.

Christian Walton is currently on loan with Blackburn, but beyond the end of this season, it remains to be seen will be in goal for Mowbray.

It’s such a crucial position and Blackburn need to get their hands on the right man.

Whether they dive into the loan market, or find someone permanently, it needs resolving as soon as possible.

Brereton cost Blackburn an awful lot of money (£7m to be exact).

However, he hasn’t justified that fee and he’s a long way short of the required level.

This summer, we may well see Blackburn looking to recoup some of that fee.

Rhodes was exceptional during his previous spell at Ewood Park, scoring 85 goals.

He’s lost his way a bit since leaving Blackburn but will be a free agent it seems in the summer.

We can see the striker, now 30, catching Blackburn’s eye once more.
