It’s gone from bad to worse at Ewood Park recently, results not coming their way and are now without a manager.

Gary Bowyer became the eighth club boss to be dismissed since August when he left Blackburn on Tuesday after two and half years at Ewood Park.

One of the impacts for the club's failure in recent years is their financial issues. Bowyer had been unable to buy players since December 2014 because Rovers breached the Football League's financial fair play rules.

The club needs to balance the books and could be set to offload some of their top players or they need reduce the player's wages to ensure they come out of the embargo.

Rover's sit in 16th place in the Championship and look like a doomed side at the moment. Blackburn have some quality players in the squad, who are low in confidence. Whoever the new manager might be, he may have to consider selling his star players if a sufficient bid comes in.

FLW Writer Ashley Williams believes that these FIVE players Blackburn should cash in on….

Jordan Rhodes

Rovers have been very stubborn when other clubs have enquired about Rhodes.

He and Gestede were probably the best Championship strike pairing in the Championship last season.

Gestede signed for Aston Villa for £5 million, which was about the right valuation for the Frenchman.

Middlesbrough bid £14 million for Rhodes in the summer, which is an offer you cannot refuse, but still, they turned it down.

That is an enormous offer for a Championship striker.

Craig Conway

The pacey winger has been one of Blackburn’s best players this season and could be another ‘potential cash in’ player.

He is someone that rarely gets mention when he performs well and is one of the most underrated players in the Championship.

However, Rovers need money, and cashing in on Conway may be a necessary move to make.

Grant Hanley

Blackburn rejected two bids from their fiercest rivals Burnley in the summer.

Hanley could leave for a considerable amount of money to balance Blackburn’s books.

The versatile player has 18 caps for Scotland and has been an instrumental figure at Ewood Park, but could be offloaded to help balance the books.

Ben Marshall

Ben Marshall could be on his way out of Blackburn Rovers during the January transfer window.

Brighton & Hove Albion made a bid for the 24-year-old in the summer, but that was rejected by Rovers.

If an improved bid is submitted in the transfer window, Rovers could opt to sell the winger.

Marcus Olsson

Another player that I’m surprised hasn’t been snapped up.

The 27-year-old was Rovers’ standout performer in 2014/15, winning the club’s player of the year award, and his impressive displays had seen him nominated for the Championship Player of the Year honour last season.

Rovers may well be able to get a multi-million pound sum for the full-back, and is someone that could well be shipped to help balance the books.
