Nottingham Forest make the trip to Portman Road on Saturday evening when they take on Mick McCarthy's Ipswich Town.

Sat in a concerning 20th place in the table, the Reds will be desperate to secure a first away win of the season as they look to push up the table and move away from the relegation zone.

Philippe Montanier's side are also without a clean sheet all season and he will be hoping to that his team can secure both a win and a clean sheet to relieve some of the pressure surrounding him.

Amid a takeover off the pitch, the Reds need to start picking up some momentum to ensure this season is nowhere near as dismal as last term.

The Tractor Boys have had a steady start to the season but will be full of confidence after a superb away win at Sheffield Wednesday in their previous outing so will provide a stern test for the east Midlands club.

So, with that in mind, here is the Nottingham Forest team that can defeat Ipswich Town on Saturday evening...

GK- Vladimir Stojkovic

The pressure is starting to mount on the Serb, who is still without a clean sheet in all competitions so far for the Reds this season.

The 33-year-old 'keeper has been in poor form at late and has arguably been at fault for a few of the goals conceded in Forest's previous games.

Getting a clean sheet or at least some defensive solidarity could be exactly what Montanier's side need if they are to win on Saturday.

RWB- Eric Lichaj

The American defender is likely to continue his role as a right wing back for the Reds should they go with this formation.

Lichaj is one of the most consistent players in the Forest team with his high work rate, ability to get forward to join in the attack and he will be an important player once again on Saturday.

RCB- Michael Mancienne

The former Chelsea defender is set to return this weekend after missing a few games through injury which will be a big boost.

Mancienne will bring organisation and pace to the back five as they look to secure a first clean sheet of the season. Forest have missed the 28-year-old in recent weeks.

CB- Damien Perquis

Perquis is struggling for consistency to his game.

Sometimes, the Polish international looks strong, commanding and impressive in defence though other times he can look shaky and prone to making a mistake.

His experience is invaluable though, and he will need to be at his best to help deny Ipswich Town's attack on Saturday evening.

LCB- Joe Worrall

Experienced defender Matt Mills is unlucky to miss out but it would be wrong to take young Joe Worrall out of the side after an exceptional first few games for the club.

From the club's academy, Worrall is physical, strong in the tackle and good in the air and Montanier should continue to pick the 19-year-old.

LWB- Danny Fox

With Armand Traore still out injured and Dani Pinillos not yet ready to start a game, Danny Fox is likely to replace the suspended Hildeberto Pereira in the wing back position.

The former Southampton man has been criticised in the past few seasons, but when Fox plays well he can make a huge impact on the team.

RCM- Henri Lansbury

lansbury

Lansbury needs to make an impact in Saturday's game. One of the best midfielders in the Championship on his day, the former Arsenal man needs to show why he can be labelled as this week in week out.

His ability to orchestrate attacks will need to be shown on Saturday as they look for their first away win of the season.

CM- Chris Cohen

The club captain is one of the first names on the team sheet and rightly so. Cohen's work rate, energy and passion in the Forest midfield is commendable, so is his ability to shield the back four.

The 29-year-old will no doubt be his busy, industrious self on Saturday evening.

LCM- Ben Osborn

Ben Osborn

If Forest decide to play two up-front on Saturday, it means Osborn can be dropped into midfield instead of playing his recent role behind the striker.

One of the stand out performers this season with his high work rate and skill on the ball, the 22-year-old is vital to the Forest team.

A lack of goals is his only weakness but Saturday would be the perfect time to change this.

ST- Apostolos Vellios

Going for two strikers would be a positive move by Philippe Montanier and would certainly please fans.

Vellios is still the club's top goalscorer with five goals so far this season and he will hoping that he can extend this on Saturday evening.

He could work well in a partnership with Britt Assombalonga.

ST- Britt Assombalonga

After bouncing back from another injury, Assombalonga has not lost the ability to score goals after netting in their last game where they drew 1-1 with QPR.

The 23-year-old is one of the most important players in the Forest team and his goals will be vital in regard to where the Reds will finish in the league this season.

Vellios' hold up play and ability in the air could work very well with the Democratic Republic of Congo international.
