Sheffield Wednesday take on Fulham this weekend and they'll be looking to put a dent in the Cottagers' promotion charge with a win.

This time last year this game would have been a massive crunch tie between two play-off contenders but, since then, it's only Fulham who have managed to keep that up and go again whilst Wednesday have struggled for form and fitness.

In recent weeks, though, we've seen the Owls get back to near where they want to be performance wise with a number of important players returning to the fold.

They've got some big wins on the board, too, and so confidence should be up as they head into what will be a tough game.

Let's take a look at the XI that Jos Luhukay might just play this weekend against the men from Craven Cottage:

Joe Wildsmith should maintain his run in goal for this clash.

Jack Hunt will be flying up and down the right hand side and his clash with Ryan Sessegnon will be intriguing.

Tom Lees is a welcome sight in the Owls' defence and he's seriously helped things improve.

Federico Venancio is enjoying a decent run in the side and should continue here.

Jordan Thorniley should also retain his place with Joost Van Aken set for sugery.

Daniel Pudil is back in contention for this game which is fortunate as Morgan Fox is out.

Joey Pelupessy will have a key battle in midfield with Fulham's central players.

Barry Bannan will look to pull the strings as he comes up against Tom Cairney.

Adam Reach will look to find space towards the left hand side and play in through balls to the forwards.

Fernando Forestieri is another welcome sight for Owls fans after most of this season and he should start.

Atdhe Nuhiu is the man of the moment. Are more goals on the way?
