We are starting to see Aitor Karanka’s impact at Nottingham Forest, with things looking up for the Reds in the Sky Bet Championship.

Karanka, who already has a promotion from the Championship on his CV, has delivered a significant improvement at the City Ground in recent weeks, with Forest picking up eight points from their last four league outings.

A number of additions towards the end of the January transfer window have assisted the Forest boss, with Costel Pantilimon one key arrival.

The experienced goalkeeper has arrived an instantly taken over as Forest’s No. 1, replacing the less experienced Jordan Smith as the last line of defence.

Pantilimon has made six appearances for the Reds, conceding eight goals and managing to keep one clean sheet during his short spell at the City Ground.

That one clean sheet, which came in the goalless draw with Burton Albion, leaves Pantilimon with a clean sheet percentage of 16.7.

On average, the goalkeeper is also making 1.63 saves per goal in a Forest shirt, and with the ball at his feet is distributing at an accuracy of 49%.
