Former West Bromwich Albion manager Darren Moore is said to be considering other options instead of the vacant managerial role at Queens Park Rangers, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The 45-year-old has been out of work since the latter stages of February, where he was controversially sacked by West Brom despite the West Midlands side sitting comfortably in the play-off positions.

The former Albion boss has since been linked with plenty of managerial jobs, including the vacant role at Loftus Road.

QPR are still on the look-out for a new manager having parted company with Steve McClaren at the beginning of April, and are yet to make a permanent appointment as we enter the final stages of the campaign.

But reports from the Daily Mail claim that Moore is set to snub interest from the West London club, and will look to consider other managerial options from elsewhere.

The R's will be looking to end their season on a high, as they prepare to face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough this weekend. They occupy 19th spot in the Sky Bet Championship table.

The Verdict

I think Moore would have been a great appointment, so it must be a big blow for QPR fans with this news emerging.

He is a fantastic coach, and I think that he was very harshly sacked by West Brom considering where they were in the league, especially with both Stoke and Swansea struggling this season.

Fair play to him for wanting to wait for the right job, rather than jumping straight back into management.
