Leeds United remain well on course to win a long-awaited promotion back into the Premier League under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

The Yorkshire-based side are currently sat top of the Championship table with nine league games remaining, and they are seven points clear of third-placed Fulham.

One player that has certainly played his part in their promotion bid this term is Jack Harrison, with the Manchester City loanee chipping in with five goals and seven assists so far in all competitions.

Speaking in an interview with Football Insider, former Leeds midfielder Michael Brown insisted that the Whites will be looking at signing Harrison permanently in the summer.

"He’ll be excited to try and get promotion, try and get to the Premier League and I’m sure Leeds United will be looking to get him signed permanently.

"With Jack Harrison, you’ve just got to turn and say he wants to play football week in, week out and that’s all he has to do.

"He’s got to keep performing in a great side under a great manager. He’s got to make himself better and I think he’s improving at such a great rate."

Due to recent events, Leeds aren't due back in action until the 2nd May when they host relegation-threatened Charlton Athletic, although that return date could be scheduled to change in the future.

The Verdict:

They'll surely be looking at signing him permanently?

Harrison has really impressed me this season, and I think he's more than good enough to be playing in the Premier League in the near future.

I'll admit that I had my doubts over his ability last season, but he's proven me wrong this term under Marcelo Bielsa's guidance. He deserves a chance to prove himself in the top-flight.

Signing Harrison permanently should be the first bit of business that Leeds look to get over the line when the summer transfer window opens.
