Wycombe Wanderers have had a season to remember and it could finish with a flourish - providing it gets going again soon.

The Chairboys were the pacesetters for the first-half of the season and though they've been reeled in and overtaken - particularly in Coventry City's case - they remain firm contenders for promotion.

With a game, or games, in hand on those above them in a congested league table, Championship football is on offer for next season, though it remains to be seen which players are part of the squad for next year regardless of division.

Here, we look at four players whose futures remain uncertain for one reason or another...

Sido Jombati has played very little this season and his contract is coming to an end so it remains to be seen where he is going to end up.

It would be no surprise if he left Adams Park this summer though.

Paul Smyth has featured fairly often this season but whether Wycombe want to keep him or not is still something that is unclear.

He's been on loan from QPR and the Hoops may well have plans for him depending on who they lose in the summer so his future is uncertain.

Jacob Gardiner-Smith is a midfielder that has featured very little for Wycombe this season and his contract is coming to an end.

It seems quite likely that he will be looking for new employment in the summer at the moment.

Akinfenwa carries cult status wherever he goes, but it remains to be seen where he is going to be next.

He's in his late 30s but is loving the game as much as usual, it's just up for debate whether he is going to stay at the Chairboys past this season.

His current contract is running down and something will need to be sorted either way, his goal-scoring record this season suggests he deserves a new deal.
