West Brom will be desperate to get the season going as soon as it is safe to do so, so that their destiny can remain in their hands in terms of promotion back to the Premier League.

The Baggies have been one of the leading sides this year in the Championship and would deserve to return to the top flight at the end of the campaign.

It remains to be seen what's going to happen there, though, and it also remains to be seen what's going to happen with a few players in terms of their futures past this season.

Have West Brom done these 15 things in the last 10 years? - Yes or no? Have a go now!

Here, we look at four players that could leave the club in the near future...

Kane Wilson

Wilson is out on loan at Tranmere Rovers and there seems a possibility that he might not be at the club for much longer.

His contract is running down and he may well be tempted to find a club at League One level to start trying to progress.

Especially if West Brom get promoted to the Premier League, Wilson is likely to find first-team opportunities harder to grasp.

Nathan Ferguson

Ferguson is nearing the end of his contract and it looks as though a move away from The Hawthorns is on the cards at the moment.

He's a talented player but there has been plenty of time for a new deal to be signed and it looks as though an exit - potentially to Crystal Palace - is on the horizon.

After a stellar breakthrough campaign last season, Ferguson caught the attention of Premier League clubs and a move to south London with Palace now seems a matter of when, and not if.

Kyle Edwards

Kyle Edwards is a bright young player but is also seeing his contract come to an end in the near future and no decision has been made.

Albion may well give him a new deal and then send him out on loan, or he could decide to move elsewhere - it's a situation that lacks a definite solution at the moment.

Much like several other players in the squad, his chances of first-team football are likely to be hampered if the Baggies do indeed secure promotion to the Premier League.

Chris Brunt

Brunt has been an Albion star for a long time but his contract is coming to an end and a new deal is yet to come about.

It'd be a shame for him to not play one last time before the season is called, but it does seem as though next year he could be elsewhere.
