Wolverhampton Wanderes have had a very inconsistent start to the season, although that may have been expected due to the number of changes that took place at the club during the summer.

New manager Walter Zenga currently finds his side sitting in 12th place in the Sky Bet Championship table, after picking up four wins from the opening eleven league games.

When the current international break is done and dusted, Zenga and his men will be hopeful of a quick upturn in form to push themselves further up the table and into contention for a playoff spot.

This article is going to take a look at FOUR transfers that Wolves could potentially look at it January to help them achieve their goals this season...

Adel Taraabt

It is clear that Wolves have developed some sort of relationship with Benfica, following the takeover of the club and they should use their links with the Portuguese giants to secure a deal for former Tottenham Hotspur man Adel Taraabt in January.

Taraabt signed a five year deal with the club in the summer of 2015, but has failed to break into the first team squad on a regular basis and has played much of his football with the Benfica B squad.

Taraabt is no stranger to the English leagues having played in both the Championship and Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers respectively.

His most successful campaign to date came when playing in the Championship for The R's when he made 44 appearances and scored a wonderful tally of 19 goals in the process.

Taraabt would add a much needed goal threat to the side as well as a lot of flair and skill to what is already a very talented group of players at Molinuex.

Bilal Ould-Chikh

19-year-old Benfica B winger Bilal Ould-Chickh is someone that Wolves could look to take on loan in January, to provide them with another option in the wide areas and a young, hungry, talented individual who is desperate to prove a point.

The 19-year-old started his career in Holland with FC Twente and made 16 appearances for the club, scoring once before making his move to Portugal to join Benfica.

Since signing for Benfica he has spent the majority of his team with the Benfica B squad and it appears he would jump at the chance to join Wolves and prove his worth.

Ould-Chikh is a pacey wideman who can play on either flank, he has excellent technical ability and would add bags and bags of flair and trickery to the squad.

He has been capped by the Netherlands at under-17 and under-19 level and has since switched allegiances to Morocco for whom he has been capped at under 20 level.

John Ruddy

One area that Wolves could potentially look to strengthen in January is the goalkeeping position.

One player who may be available for transfer is Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy, who has fallen out of favour somewhat at Carrow Road after the arrival of Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Michael McGovern in the summer.

Towering goalkeeper John Ruddy is clearly a player of immense quality and would be a great addition to the Wolves squad.

The 29-year-old is highly experienced and has made over 200 appearances for the Canaries - he has been called up to countless England squads in the past as back up and also has one senior cap to his name.

Ruddy is a commanding goalkeeper and due to his composure between the sticks he breeds confidence right the way through the back four, he has excellent ariel ability and is competent at dealing with crosses and set pieces, as well as having excellent reflexes and shot stopping ability.

Scott Hogan

After the takeover of the club was completed in the summer, it is clear that Wolves have financial power behind them and in my opinion they should look to flex those financial muscles in January and look at securing the signing of Brentford hotshot Scott Hogan.

Hogan has pace in abundance and is someone who has a real eye for goal, the 24-year-old is one of the division's leading scorers this season as he currently sits on 7 goals in 10 league games.

The former Rochdale man has been attracting the interest of Premier League clubs but there is no doubting with the financial backing of the new owners, Wolverhampton Wanderers certainly have the financial muscle to compete with the clubs of the Premier League and tempt frontman Scott Hogan to Molinuex.
