West Brom got back to winning ways in emphatic style last time out, hammering promotion rivals Leeds United 4-1 at The Hawthorns.

That ended a four-game winless run for Darren Moore's men and it more importantly restored confidence and belief after some alarming performances.

Albion were at their devastating best against the Whites, scoring four and creating plenty of chances despite having 28% possession, proving how dangerous they can be.

The result lifted them to fifth in the league, just three points behind second-placed Middlesbrough and five behind leaders, Norwich.

However, the West Midlands outfit will expect to close the gap on those pair in the coming weeks and promotion will be the aim.

Here we look at FOUR things that will ensure Moore's men are in the top six at the very least come May...

West Brom's goal record this season has been incredible, with the side having scored 37 times in 17 games, comfortably the best in the league.

Even if they can't sustain that fantastic ratio, they have enough individual quality to ensure the goals won't dry up with Dwight Gayle, Matt Phillips and Jay Rodriguez just three of the options in the final third.

Moore's decision to play with a back three for much of the season was met with criticism and it was understandable, as it seemed to hinder the side.

However, he reverted to a back four on Saturday and the decision paid off.

Albion look more settled in that formation and if they continue with that you could make a strong case to say they have the best XI in the league on paper.

Additionally, January could be a big month for the Baggies.

They had a massive offer turned down for Bradley Dack in the summer, but that proves they are prepared to spend and back the manager.

Moore will have an eye on a few players in the New Year, and with Albion's resources it could give them an advantage over their rivals.

Going into the international break, West Brom have the best home league table, with six wins from their nine games.

Every side that wants to compete for promotion needs to be good at home and Moore has quickly managed to make The Hawthorns a fortress.
