Sheffield United are the envy of League One in the striker department and that is evidenced by their 26 goals being the joint third highest in the division.

The Blades, under the guidance of Chris Wilder, have enjoyed some big wins this season such as their 6-0 thrashing of Leyton Orient in the FA Cup and their 4-0 home win against high-flying Port Vale.

Caolan Lavery, Billy Sharp and Leon Clarke are three strikers who would easily walk into any other side in the league so Wilder is spoilt for choice with his options up top.

Sharp leads the way with 10 goals.

However there have been whispers about the possibility of Clarke departing in January, just six months after joining due to a lack of game time and therefore Wilder might have to bring in another striker to fill the void that he leaves.

Here are four striker suggestions that Sheffield United should consider in the upcoming January window.

Omar Bogle

Omar Boglefg

Omar Bogle is hot property but Sheffield United should join the race for his signature.

The 23-year-old has been in prolific form for Grimsby with 9 league goals already and he might fancy a gradual route to the top via League One rather than jumping straight to the second tier.

Dexter Blackstock

Dexter Blackstock is an experienced campaigner up top who might force a move away from struggling Rotherham if he can't get more game time.

Danny Ward has been in good form for the Millers so the journeyman centre forward might fancy a spell at Bramall Lane.

Jay Simpson

Jay Simpson was unstoppable for Leyton Orient last season, netting 25 league goals.

The O's are in freefall currently though and the 27-year-old might fancy a chance to return to League One at this vital stage of his career.

Matty Fryatt

Matty Fryatt is struggling at Nottingham Forest at the moment and he might have to drop down a league to resurrect his career.

The 30-year-old target man would definitely provide a threat to League One defences.

Sheffield United fans - would you take these four strikers at your club? Who else could you buy?
