Uncertainty surrounds Queens Park Rangers at the moment with the club floating around the Championship mid-table and no manager at the helm following the sacking of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Karl Robinson, Tim Sherwood, Paul Clement and Gary Rowett are among the list of names to be linked with the vacant job at Loftus Road but whoever comes in has plenty of work to do.

One department QPR might look to strengthen is up front.

Conor Washington has been a flop since his January switch from Peterborough whilst Sebastien Polter is unpredictable.

Idrissa Sylla looks like he could become a big part of QPR's future but the new manager will still probably look to bring in another forward to take the pressure off the Guinean's shoulders.

January is also a time where a number of strikers will be looking to jump ship and resurrect their careers in an environment where they are offered more game time.

Here are four suggestions of strikers that QPR should look at this January.

Peter Crouch

6'7'' striker Peter Crouch still has plenty to offer in the Championship but he is not getting the game time he wants at Stoke and might force a January move.

QPR should make a move for the 35-year-old, who enjoyed a spell at Loftus Road back in the early 2000s.

Chuba Akpom

Chuba Akpom is unlikely to ever make the cut at Arsenal but he has plenty of Championship experience and would be a good addition if he can perform.

The physical 21-year-old England youth international might look for a January loan move or even a permanent exit from the Emirates.

Jordan Rhodes

Jordan Rhodes has been cast aside by Aitor Karanka and is unlikely to get in the Middlesbrough team so he might look for a January move back to the Championship.

The Scotsman is a proven goalscorer in the second tier and would definitely score the goals to fire QPR up the league.

Francisco Sol Ortiz

fran sol

Fran Sol is a talented 24-year-old Spanish striker playing for Willem II in the Dutch League.

With five goals in ten games for Willem II, the former Real Madrid youth player and Villarreal striker might look for a move to England with QPR a perfect destination for him to prove himself.
