Bristol City have had a solid start to the season and many supporters are backing them as outsiders for a play-off place after collecting 24 points from the opening 16 games.
It is Lee Johnson’s first full season in charge of the Robins and they have shown real promise in the attacking third of the field, scoring 23 times in 16 league games.
One of the main reasons for their success in front of goal this season has been the form of on-loan striker, Tammy Abraham.
Only Newcastle’s Dwight Gayle has found the back of the net more often than Abraham and he has been a revelation at Ashton Gate, scoring 12 goals already, 9 of which have come in the Championship.
However, a worry for the Robins would be if Abraham were to get injured, or lose form. Even worse, he could attract interest from other clubs in January, meaning he could be recalled by Chelsea.
With Bobby Reid and Lee Tomlin next in the goal scoring chart with 4 each, Lee Johnson should have one eye on any strikers that become available in January as cover or help for Abraham.
With that in mind, here are FOUR strikers who’d be absolutely superb January signings for Bristol City!
