West Bromwich Albion extended their unbeaten run to seven matches and remain third in the standings heading into the international break after Saturday's win.

Darren Moore’s side came from a goal down to see off the brave resolve of lowly Reading after conceding a sixth-minute strike.

The win for the Baggies was emphatic after a slow start with all their goals coming in the second half.

Two goals from Dwight Gayle gave the hosts the lead for the first time in the match before they moved clear of their opponents with two more goals in the final 20 minutes from Harvey Barnes and a first for the club for Kyle Bartley.

The on-loan striker Gayle shone in the victory taking his tally of goals to eight in the league heading into a two-week hiatus for the next round of UEFA Nations League matches.

The 27-year-old managed four shots in his 90 minutes, with both his shots on target resulting in goals - he had two off target, too.

No one managed more efforts on goal than Gayle did.

He managed three per cent of West Brom’s possession for the afternoon, having 41 touches of the ball.

An average pass success rate for the fixture was 82 per cent for the striker who managed to complete 23 passes from the 28 attempted. Two of his completed passes were key ones to his teammates in attacking areas.

Gayle attempted two attacking aerial duels but was unsuccessful with both, as well as attempting one tackle without success, and was dribbled past once, too.

Despite that, the striker was the star man in the win and is proving more and more to be a very shrewd, fantastic signing for Moore and his side as the season continues.
