It was a very good midweek programme of Championship fixtures for Cardiff City.

First of all, they emerged with a tricky-looking trip to Portman Road to take on Ipswich Town with a 1-0 win that keeps them in the automatic promotion spots last night.

On top of that, they saw each of the sides that currently join them in the top six drop two points. Last night, Wolves were pegged back in stoppage time by Norwich at around the same minute fourth-placed Derby were salvaging a home draw with Leeds.

Sixth-placed Bristol City have still only won one game in 2018 after drawing 1-1 with fifth-placed Fulham while Tuesday night saw Aston Villa's match with Preston end in the same scoreline.

The man who ensured Cardiff got the win against the Tractor Boys was Kenneth Zohore, who netted the winner with 25 minutes remaining.

Zohore will be key if the Bluebirds are to convert their current four-point gap over Villa into automatic promotion and he is the latest player we have put under the FLW spotlight to run the rule over his performance last night.

It was an all-round striker's display from Zohore last night. To go with the goal, he took four shots, provided two key passes, as well as recording a strong pass success rate from his 27 efforts which displays his qualities as a hold-up man.

It is exactly this sort of form that Warnock will demand as the run-in continues and if he can Zohore can deliver, there's no reason to think that Cardiff won't make it to the big-time come May.
