With the January transfer window fast approaching, Leeds United will already start thinking about possible new signings they can bring in.

One area that Garry Monk needs to seriously look at is the striker department.

Chris Wood has been in impressive form, netting 11 league goals this season but he is currently a doubt with injury.

And the other striker options are not very good with Marcus Antonsson and Souleymane Doukara both failing to impress for Leeds.

So Monk needs to bring in another forward to take the pressure off Wood's shoulders and have another outlet to get their goals.

It is vital that they bring in the right man in January because that will give the Whites the best possible chance of winning promotion back to the Premier League after a lengthy absence.

With 13 league goals already this season, Scott Hogan will be hot property.

The Brentford forward might fancy a January move to a promotion challenging side as Brentford look set for an underwhelming season.

Nahki Wells

Nahki Wells looks set for the exit door at Huddersfield and he would be a top addition to Leeds United's squad.

The nippy Bermudan would provide a great contrast from the physical Chris Wood.

Leigh Griffiths

Leigh Griffiths is currently playing second fiddle to Moussa Dembele at Celtic but he is still scoring at a very consistent rate.

The Scotland international has a superb left foot and a real eye for goal, which Leeds could really benefit from.

Benik Afobe

Benik Afobe is not the first choice striker at Bournemouth and could look to leave in January.

Leeds would be a great environment for Afobe to get his career back on track.
