Port Vale are bound to be one side eager for a solution to this season as they go in search of promotion via the play-off places in Sky Bet League Two.

Good form just before the season had to come to a halt left them a point outside of the play-off places and John Askey in his side will be eager to try and finish the job.

Away from that, though, there are some players at the club that could well need a move away in the coming months.

Here, we take a look at four potential departures from Vale Park...

Archer has not played much for Vale this season and spent a brief spell on loan at Stockport County earlier on in the year.

It remains to be seen what the plan for him in the summer is going to be.

Hurst is on loan at National League North side Bradford Park Avenue and will be eager to keep playing senior football next season.

Whether not that is at Vale remains to be seen, though, and the club will need to decide whether he needs another loan spell away for instance.

Young defender Ryan Campbell-Gordon has spent some time at Ilkeston on loan and may well be looking at another spell away next season.

He's still a teenager and so Vale will be wanting to help him progress as well as he can - with him playing once for the senior side this season in the league - coming on as a sub.

24-year-old Trickett-Smith has been on loan at Curzon Ashton this season and Vale will need to decide if they want to keep him or whether it would be best for him to move elsewhere on a permanent basis.
