Wolves don't have a massive budget this summer.

The selling of the club will mean that funds will be restricted at Molineux this summer, however funds have been promised to Jackett this summer.

Wolves should be adding experience and quality to their squad this summer.

No attacking threat this season has been a major problem this season, with Afobe, Dicko and Sako all leaving a huge hole in the squad and Wolves have struggled in the final third.

Consistency has been an issue, in squad picks, defensively and offensively.

If Wolves are to seriously mount a push for promotion next season, they need to be adding to their squad in the summer, and that may mean splashing the cash.

FLW's Conor McGilligan has identified FOUR players Wolves should splash the cash for in the summer.....

Nick Powell

Nick PowellNick Powell

A versatile player who can play wide and through the middle, the ex-Manchester United man has fantastic attributes and could be available on a free transfer at the beginning of the summer months.

His deal in Manchester will come to an end as Powell looks to move on.

Currently part of a promotion chasing Hull City, Powell’s career has stalled as injury has plagued him of a consistent spell at the top flight.

Given a successful run, there is no doubt Powell would thrive in the Championship and will be wanted by a host of Championship clubs.

Peter Odemwingie

Peter Odemwingie
A highly controversial but effective one.
Odemwingie could potentially be an excellent acquisition for Wolves.
Given his Albion connections, Wolves fans may not be too keen, but the 34-year-old is quality in the opposition box, and with funds tight at Wolves, this free transfer could be the perfect addition to partner Dicko upfront.
Odemwingie isn’t one for the future but given Wolves’ lack of experience and nous in the forward areas this season he could make an ideal addition.

Tom Carroll

The youngster has had many loan deals in his time at Spurs, including an unsuccessful loan spell at Swansea City this season.
He has had sporadic moments of brilliance for Spurs, like his goal earlier in the season against Norwich City, but overall he has been too inconsistent to be given a run in the first team. He is resigned to the substitute’s bench and, with Tottenham’s midfield performing phenomenally this season, he won’t break through. Yet, a move to Championship side Wolves would bolster his confidence and keep him in the manager’s plans.

Steven Taylor

taylorrrrr The Newcastle centre back could be a great buy for the Championship club. With Wolves' back two Danny Batth and Dom Iorfa two of the Championship's most coveted players, it looks like Dominic Iorfa will attract Premier League interest and is looking like possibly departing Molineux in the summer after strong interest. Taylor could be a bargain for the club as his contract is set to expire in the summer, so the Toon could let the centre back leave for a small sum.
