Swansea City have made an impressive start to the Championship season after losing a number of big names over the summer, and they are now sitting fourth during the third international break of the campaign.

Steve Cooper's side have been inconsistent on home soil, having suffered all three of their defeats at the Liberty Stadium, but they are unbeaten on their travels to see them into the play-off spots at this stage of the season.

There has not yet been much indication as to how active Swansea will be in the January transfer window, but supporters can feel fairly certain that any potential transfer activity will involve their club dipping into the free transfer and loan markets.

This can be owed to the fact that Swansea are stilling looking to conserve funds as they continue to recover from Premier League relegation, but the impact of the likes of Ben Wilmot and Sam Surridge is clear proof of how the Swans have used the loan market in their favour.

Here are four players Swansea should consider signing in January...

Brewster is a highly-rated forward at Anfield even though he has not been blessed by first-team playing time so far in his career, and a move to Swansea could be a good opportunity for both parties to benefit.

The 19-year-old would get his first regular taste of senior football, while Swansea could bring him in as reinforcement for the likes of Andre Ayew and Borja Baston, particularly if these players are linked with a move away from the club.

It was reported that Swansea attempted to land Nketiah before he joined Leeds over the summer, and this is certainly a situation Swansea should monitor in case the on-loan Arsenal forward becomes available again.

He has not yet started a league game for Marcelo Bielsa's side and this could see him recalled by the Gunners in January, so the Swans could have have a second shot at landing him if it turns out they are in need of another frontman.

Jedinak is currently available on a free transfer after last playing for Aston Villa during their promotion campaign, and it is somewhat surprising he has not yet been picked up by a Championship club.

Swansea have the likes of Matt Grimes, George Byers and Jay Fulton to fill the central-midfield roles, but Jedinak could provide the physicality and experience to add a different option to Cooper's ranks.

Milosevic may have left Nottingham Forest earlier this season, but he could be a good addition for the Swans, who are perhaps in need of a new centre-back given Joe Rodon's lengthy injury.

It means that Ben Wilmot, Mike van der Hoorn and academy product Ben Cabango are the only centre-backs at the club, and a short-term deal until the end of the season for Milosevic could prove to be a smart move.
