Rotherham United finished the season in superb form under manager Neil Warnock, with a series of big wins and performances guiding them to safety for the second season running.

With Warnock confirming this week that he will not be staying on as manager, the hunt for a new gaffer will be well and truly under way, with Chairman Tony Stewart keen to act quickly and get someone in before players return in the summer.

For all the good play this season at the New York Stadium in the final few months though, there are still those in the squad who have not quite pulled their weight and fans are getting a bit fed up with

Whether it is simply a case of the player not being good enough of a lack of effort, for one reason or another, certain individuals could well be shown the door over the summer by any incoming manager.

With that in mind, here are FOUR Rotherham United players that the club needs to say goodbye to......

Danny Collins

Probably the first name on many Millers fans minds when looking at an article like this, Collins is simply not good enough for Championship level.

He is always good for a mistake or defensive mishap, and has become known as a bit of a car crash down at the NYS when it comes to defending.

Collins could well be on his way, as this will not be the first time fans have called for him to sold, and it might be that he has gone as far as he can with the Millers.

Emmanuel Ledesma

Signed from Middlesbrough a couple of seasons ago after what looked a successful loan spell, Ledesma has simply sat in the reserves all season and contributed very little to the squad.

A midfield player who appears to have enough talent to succeed, it may well be a question of attitude and willingness when it comes to him actually getting a game.

Ledesma will probably look for a move back to his homeland to try and resurrect his career, and he looks a shadow of the player he was at Boro.

Paul Green

Paul GreenPaul Green2

The former Derby and Doncaster midfielder was an excellent signing when he joined the club in 2014, but since then, his stock has dropped after a string of poor performances.

It looks like a case of simply that his legs are going, which is a shame for a player with talent and over 20 international caps.

Green might well look to take a step down the league ladder as he looks to play on into his 30s, so leaving Rotherham this summer might well be the wise choice if he wants to prolong his career.

Lewis Buxton

The right back was signed last summer in a deal from local rivals Sheffield Wednesday, and after impressing at Hillsborough, many Millers fans though they had an excellent player on their hands.

However, he has failed to replicate that form, and in the main has not been able to play due to a contract clause centering around certain rewards for playing a set amount of games.

Buxton will probably be moved on from the club because of this, and with Frazer Richardson and Stephen Kelly both playing in his position as well and doing well enough, his time looks to be up.

Millers fans, do you agree? Who else should you get rid of? Let us know using the comments!
