Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's QPR have made a decent start to the 2016/17 campaign, winning twice and losing twice.

After a dismal campaign last term, which eventually culminated in a 12th place finish, the Dutchman will be looking to restore belief and desire in the Rangers line-up.

The Loftus Road faithful will have lofty expectations for their team this year, with a full summer of recruiting new players to sustain Hasselbaink's promotion ambitions.

However, these recruits need to have a wealth of Championship experience, with the likes of Conor Washington and Nasser El Khayati failing to make an impact at Loftus Road last term, since signing from Peterborough United and Burton Albion respectively.

Therefore here, FLW writer George Harbey, identifies FOUR players that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink should look to bring into QPR, in order to galvanise a return back to the Premier League.....

Charlie Austin

For a player of Charlie Austin's calibre and quality, it comes as a great shock as to why the prolific forward has been deemed somewhat surplus to requirements at Southampton.

The 27- year-old netted 45 times in 82 games for the R's in his three year spell at Loftus Road, 17 of them goals came in the club's 13/14 promotion winning campaign.

Austin departed for Southampton in January 2016, where he has only managed to score once in 6 games, making a shock return back to QPR even more likely.

Joleon Lescott

The experienced defender is almost inevitably set to depart Villa Park, after what was a quite frankly dire campaign for the Villans last term, which ended up in relegation.

Having made 498 career appearances, his poor spell at Aston Villa shouldn't really take away his achievements in his distinguished career, after winning the Premier League title with Manchester City and playing regularly in the top-flight.

His wealth of experience would be a key asset for Hasselbaink's men, who will want to endure Premier League experience for themselves in the near future.

Mario Pašilić

A forgotten Chelsea youngster amongst all of the star names, Mario Pašalić is a young midfielder who will still have aspirations of breaking into the Blues first team with Antonio Conte at the helm.

The central midfielder endured an impressive, successful loan spell at Monaco last season, as another loan move looks to be looming once again for the Croatian this term.

He would bring a competitive and sharp edge to the Hoops midfield, and keep competition for places extremely healthy, along with talisman Tjaronn Chery, the pair could both be instrumental for the R's.

Serge Gnabry

This Arsenal outcast really needs a move away from the Emirates this season, as his once promising career begins to sadly deteriorate.

He was touted as the next big thing when he burst onto the scene a handful of years ago, but he has failed to make a lasting impact at the West London club, consequently ending in another disappointing loan spell at West Brom last term.

A loan move could kick-start his career, but a permanent transfer away from Arsenal might be the best option for both the Gunners and Hasselbaink, as Gnabry's pace and skill on either flank, would be influential for the likes of Sebastian Polter and Conor Washington up top.
