It was fourth time lucky for Leeds United this weekend as they defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-0, to secure their first Championship victory of the 2016/17 campaign.
The Whites are expecting big things from the season with Garry Monk tasked with reviving the club’s faltering fortunes of the last few years – the former Swansea City boss seen as a coup for a club in the second tier.
The disjointed nature of Leeds’ start to the campaign was to be expected in some ways, with Monk bringing in no fewer than 10 new players added to the squad during the summer months.
With the Leeds hierarchy desperate to see the club’s fortunes improved, the Whites boss might not be finished in the transfer market just yet and Monk may choose to make further additions before the 31st August deadline.
