Following their disappointing return to the Premier League, Fulham will be desperate to make their stay in the Championship a short one.

And it is a case of so far so good for the Whites, with Scott Parker's side looking well placed to launch a promotion bid - currently sat in seventh place with 16 games played and just five points behind the automatic promotion places.

So, the January transfer window could well prove crucial and there is no doubt that the powers that be will already be putting plans into place.

And here, we take a look at FOUR players the Whites should consider moving for in the winter...

There is no doubt that it is at the back where Fulham need to prioritise any imminent transfer action, with the full-back positions looking particularly short.

Bringing in Barnsley's attacking and versatile Dimitri Cavare would undoubtedly be a huge help as well.

Predominantly a right-back, Cavare would add serious competition to the likes of Steven Sessegnon and Denis Odoi whilst also being able to cover for Joe Bryan on the left if called upon.

Who to play in goal has been a constant headache for Scott Parker this season.

Marcus Bettinelli remains the obvious choice but he has looked very ropey at times this season whilst Marek Rodak appears to still be a bit short of relevant experience.

Therefore, bringing in someone like MacGillivray, who has impressed consistently in the third-tier, could be just what is needed for Parker to settle the debate.

Dunkley has been brilliant at centre-back for Wigan in recent seasons and would add some much-needed depth to the Fulham back line.

Michael Hector is set to arrive at Craven Cottage during the January transfer window too but there could definitely be room for another, especially one who has already scored five times this season.

With just six months remaining on his deal (come January) Fulham could well land the defender for a brilliant deal as well.

A slightly more left-field option to the above choices, but Mokotjo could add a sense of control to the Fulham midfield that has been lacking so far.

He has been a key cog in Brentford's midfield three so far this season, alongside Christian Norgaard and Josh Dasilva, and that will certainly be appealing to Parker.

Much like Dunkley, Mokotjo's current deal with the Bees is set to expire in the summer so a cut-price transfer could well be on the cards.
