There is still a long way to go in the Sky Bet Championship this season, with Derby County having the opportunity to put their promotion push back on track following the international break.

The Rams looked like they were well in contention for the top-two following a magnificent end to 2017, however, Gary Rowett’s side have found it tough to maintain those incredibly high standards recently.

Rowett’s side haven’t won in their last seven Championship fixtures, which has seen them slide out of automatic promotion contention and into a vulnerable position in the play-offs.

Just a single point now separates Derby from seventh, although they do have a game in-hand over Bristol City, who lead the chasing pack.

Ultimately, Derby’s squad haven’t been strong enough to maintain a push for automatic promotion and in the summer Rowett is sure to tinker with the personnel within his squad once again.

With that in mind, we take a look at FOUR players supporters would be keen to see move on in the summer…

The 29-year-old has been on the fringe this season, with Richard Keogh and Curtis Davies playing leading roles in defence.

Pearce has made plenty of Derby appearances, but ultimately, never really made the grade.

It hasn’t happened for the winger at the Pride Park Stadium, with Anya disappointing during his time with the Rams.

Derby need better if they are to finally secure a Premier League return.

Bent is currently out on-loan with Burton Albion, but the veteran forward will return to Derby in the summer.

The striker’s Derby record is reasonably good, but supporters will hope they’ve seen the last of him.

Jerome has only been with Derby a short time, but the striker’s goal return hasn’t been good enough.

Rowett’s side are performing worse with the experienced striker in their side.
