More outgoings are likely as Aitor Karanka continues to change the Nottingham Forest squad.

The Spaniard has only been in charge since January, but the team has changed massively under him with the January transfer window being key to that.

Forest will be aiming for the top six in the upcoming season, so they need to have a streamlined squad with no excess who can't contribute when needed.

There are still players left in the side who have barely featured or been sent out on loan by Karanka, so they are likely to be sold off.

Here are four players that are unlikely to be in Karanka's future plans

Traore was sent out on loan to Cardiff in January as he was deemed surplus to requirements. Ben Osborn has been used as a makeshift left-back by Karanka, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see a left-back signed in the summer.

The fact that Osborn was preferred over Traore shows how low he is down the pecking order. Therefore, a summer move is all but certain, although it's unclear whether Neil Warnock will opt to sign him permanently.

Ward was another player sent on loan to the Bluebirds with Lee Tomlin moving the other way in exchange. Tomlin certainly made more of an impact than Ward did at Forest this season, so he's likely to be gone in the summer.

The Northern Ireland international only made eight substitute appearances all season, so he provides little especially because he is 32-years-old. Therefore, a move is likely, although injury limited his impact at Cardiff, so they may struggle to find suitors for him.

Vellios didn't feature in the league under Mark Warburton, but he has made 12 appearances since Karanka came in. However, he has only played a full 90 minutes once.

He did managed to score in the game against Barnsley, but Forest have plenty of forward options and his limited playing time suggests that he isn't one of Karanka's favoured players which could see him leave in the summer as other personnel join the club.

Murphy joined last summer as Warburton aimed to bring in an experienced striker to help some of his younger forward options such as Ben Brereton, Barrie McKay and Kenny Dowell on loan from Everton. This served its purpose because he scored seven goals in 27 league appearances, but he has rarely been used by Karanka with injuries playing a part in that.

He is 35-years-old, though, so they need to bring in a younger option because Murphy can offer little in the long-term and he is clearly past his peak.
