Huddersfield in many people’s opinions could be the dark horses for promotion with an exciting German coach David Wagner in charge combined with chairman Dean Hoyle’s excellent season ticket scheme making it very affordable for the fans.
Last season was a whirlwind in its own right for Terriers fans with Chris Powell only managing 3 wins in 3 months before being sacked.
David Wagner took over who was a former assistant of Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund and even though the results didn’t vastly improve the performances did with Wagner adopting the playing style of Klopp which is a high pressing game.
Over the summer Wagner is looking to bring in a crop of German players that can pull off the so called ‘gegenpress’ system.
With Wells likely to be the lone striker he will be very important but will need a very good midfield around him to succeed and the defence needs strengthening.
