It's been a fine season for Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship so far and they'll be hoping the campaign can be resumed as soon as it is safe to do so.

Gary Rowett has really rejuvenated the Lions team and they are now just outside the play-off places, with the confidence that they can break into the top six and have a shot at getting into the Premier League.

Certainly, there are plenty of examples as to why there is excitement around the club at the moment, but not every player could be a part of things for next year for different reasons.

Here, we assess four that fall into that bracket...

Sandford has been on loan at Dorking this season and there seems a good chance that he may well not make it at Millwall.

He's still a very young player - especially for a goalkeeper - but it's hard to make a case for him making the first team any time soon.

Skalak has played very little this season for Millwall and looks unlikely to change that anytime soon.

Pre-season last year offered hope he was going to kick on at the club but that has not happened and it'd be no shock if a new start was sorted out for him.

Danny McNamara is on loan at Newport and he's racked up the appearances, so there's a good chance that the Exiles would want to keep him on past this season.

Could he get in the Millwall side? Perhaps, but it seems as though there are better options ahead of him in the full-back areas and so a move away could work as a good route for him.

This is one Millwall fans will obviously not want to see go through.

Wallace has been exceptional this season but if the Lions do not go up this season, could Premier League clubs come calling?

He's been brilliant, and The Den faithful will hope that they're able to keep him in south London.
