Max Aarons has been one of the breakout stars for Norwich City this season and has made the right-back spot in the first team his own.

The 19-year-old has played in 27 Championship matches this season and has two goals and four assists form the defensive position.

But he has been given license by boss Daniel Farke to maraud forward to overlap his winger and get involved further up the pitch.

Aarons has been so impressive; the Mirror has reported that Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing him for the summer.

Norwich are of course on track to make it to the top-flight themselves, but what if they do not, what next for the defender.

With that said, here are FOUR ideal Aarons replacements for the Canaries if he is to move to the Premier League.

Mahlon Romeo

The flying Millwall right-back is similar in style to Aarons but has slightly less speed than his counterpart.

Able to get up the pitch and join in attacks while also adept at getting back to see out any danger.

Romeo is a little older at 23-years-old but has vast Championship experience that the Canaries could call upon if they were to move for the Lions’ right-back.

Henrik Dalsgaard

A veteran compared to Aarons, being that he is ten years his senior, Dalsgaard has been mightily impressive for Brentford this season.

Despite their collapse in form and subsequent revival, the Danish defender has been a pretty reliable hand at the back for the Bees.

He is precisely the type of player that would fit in well at Norwich.

Darnell Furlong

The Queens Park Rangers right-back is highly-rated at Loftus Road an could be a masterstroke signing by Daniel Farke should he decide to go for the 23-year-old.

Despite featuring only 11 times in the league for Steve McClaren’s side, he has a bright future in the game.

Able to play at centre-half and on the right of midfield, he would undoubtedly offer versatility to the Canaries team.

Sam Byram

Before moving to West Ham, the former Leeds defender was one of the hottest prospects in the EFL.

Now on loan at Nottingham Forest, his season has been derailed by injury.

Once fully fit again, which looks to be next year, a London exit could be on the cards for the 25-year-old.

If Aarons were to leave, then look no further for his perfect replacement.
