Fulham are busy battling hard for promotion from the Championship as they sit at the top of the play-off places.

The last remaining games and a likely fight in the play-offs will determine Fulham's plans next season - be it the Premier League or the Championship.

Either way, Fulham will be looking at new recruits in the summer, and pulling players through their existing ranks in the academy could really be a cheaper way of funding the future.

We look at the four Fulham wonder-kids that could be breaking in to the starting line-up at Craven Cottage next season...

Elijah Adebayo has switched from being a striker, to a centre-half, and now back to a striker

The 20-year-old forward has come up through the ranks at Craven Cottage since under-9s, and has been impressing more recently for the under-23s development squad, including some impressive performances in the Checkatrade Trophy where he bagged goals against both Portsmouth and Crawley Town.

Adebayo has since been sent out on-loan to Cheltenham Town where he's already bagged a couple of goals in League Two for the Robins.

Goalkeeper Marek Rodak is on impressive form whilst on-loan at League One's Rotherham United.

Rotherham are fighting for League One promotion and currently in the play-off places and will be hoping to join Fulham in the Championship next season, but they wouldn't be where they are now without the help of Rodak who has seen himself installed as Rotherham's number one goalkeeper.

The Slovak has made a number of appearances for his national side at both under-19 and under-21 level and could be competing against David Button and Marcus Bettinelli who have been battling out against each other this season - neither really securing the number one jersey.

Welsh midfielder George Williams went out on-loan to St Johnstone in January after just one appearance for Fulham this season - netting in Fulham under-21s 3-3 draw with League One's Portsmouth.

The 22-year-old has since been impressing at St Johnstone as well as previous loan spells at Gillingham and MK Dons - where he started his career.

The midfielder is also capped seven times for Wales national side - certainly no mean feat, and could well be banging on the door of Slaviša Jokanović in the summer for a first team start.

Estonian international Mattias Kait is another Fulham under-21 player sent out on-loan to Scotland after his only appearance came in the 3-3 draw against Portsmouth.

Some very impressive performances on the international stage for Estonia including goals against Cyprus and Gibraltar this season, Kait is definitely one to watch and is bound to impress during the latter stages of the Scottish Premier League.

He could well be in with a shout for a starting place at Craven Cottage next season!
