With another international break upon us, some EFL sides will have a short pause, while for others they will be cracking on playing their next round of fixtures, here though we put matches to one side and highlight four fresh new EFL transfer rumours emerging.....

Middlesbrough are hoping to sign Fleetwood Town star Wes Burns in the January transfer window as owner Steve Gibson plans to bring in a couple of affordable winter additions, according to The Sun (November 10, page 59).

It has been a dismal start to the season for Boro. Jonathan Woodgate is under huge pressure just months into his first ever managerial role with the one-time Premier League stalwarts stuck in the relegation zone after winning just two of their first 16 Championship games this season.

Fulham, Leeds United and Stoke City are all interested in a move for Middlesbrough defender Daniel Ayala when the transfer window reopens in January, according to a report from TEAMtalk.

Ayala is out of contract at The Riverside Stadium at the end of this season, and it is thought that Boro are not currently in a position to offer him a deal to match the one he is currently on at the club.

As a result, Middlesbrough will instead look to cash in on the 29-year-old when the window reopens in January, rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.

Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi is planning a January raid for Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland, with the promotion-chasing Championship side having Shankland watched on Friday as he scored his 19th goal of the season, as reported in the Scottish Sun.

Manchester United are closely monitoring the Leeds United duo of midfielder Kalvin Phillips and defender Ben White, sending scouts to watch the pair on a number of occasions, according to a report on Football Insider.

In line with the summer arrivals of Dan James, 21, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 21, United are still searching for the best young British talent and both 22-year-old White and 23-year-old Phillips are on their list of targets.
