Stoke City have endured an extremely difficult start to life back in the Championship, with Gary Rowett's men recording only one win so far this season.
After a big summer spend, combined with keeping top players like Jack Butland and Joe Allen, it was easy to see why the Potters started as pre-season favourites.
However, things have not gone to plan at all and they are stuck in the bottom half of the table and perhaps more worryingly will be the way they have played.
Rowett's men have struggled in most games and haven't played to their full potential at all.
With that in mind, the former Derby boss may consider bringing in a new face or two to lift the mood around the club and to improve this underachieving side.
We take a look at FOUR free agents that would be really useful signings...
The Uruguayan defender can play as a centre-back or as a left-back and that could provide Rowett's men with more balance in the team.
Additionally, his versatility could be important as the season progresses. At just 26, and having played in Italy and for his national team at various youth levels, he clearly has talent and could be worth a punt.
Stoke are struggling to create chances, but Ribeiro could change that.
The 31-year-old has great technique and his form for Rio Ave saw Sporting Lisbon make a move for him, which highlights his talent.
It didn't work out for him in Lisbon but he would provide Rowett's side with something different.
Sako would be a major coup for most Championship sides as he has proven himself at this level with Wolves over the years.
Boasting a great left-foot, combined with real pace and power, he is unplayable on his day, and with James McClean injured, he would slot in easily down the left flank.
Stoke have a few options up top but things aren't really working at the minute.
Whilst he's not a prolific goalscorer, Mbakogu has the qualities that can allow others to flourish.
He can play with his back to goal, links play and could get the best out of those around him.
