Over the years Leeds United have produced some fantastic talent, with many of their academy products going on to play Premier League football and even representing England.

Leeds have handed the likes of James Milner, Fabian Delph and Lewis Cook a chance of regular first-team football over the years, with that trio amongst the players that have gone on to play international football.

Others like Charlie Taylor, Sam Byram and Jonny Howson have all played Premier League football since departing Elland Road.

Now, there is a new group of players coming through, pushing for a chance in Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team.

Whether they can follow in the footsteps of those before them remains to be seen, but there is certainly a buzz surrounding Leeds’ academy at the moment.

With that in mind, we take a look at FOUR emerging talents that the supporters at Elland Road need to be excited about…

There’s not really anywhere else to start, with Clarke now pushing for a first-team opportunity under Bielsa.

The 17-year-old has made two cameo appearances already and is looking an exciting talent.

In time, the tricky, direct winger could be a first-team regular at Elland Road.

Temenuzhkov is a player that has impressed with the under-18s and under-23s at Elland Road.

Whilst others are taking the step up into the first-team, Temenuzhkov is progressing nicely under Leeds’ academy coaches.

There’s big hope for the Bulgarian.

Shackleton has been involved under Bielsa this season, showing his versatility by playing in a number of positions.

The 19-year-old is a central midfielder by trade, but he’s played on the wing and at full-back this season.

He’s very similar to Lewis Cook and could have a big impact this season.

McCalmont is a player that has gone under the radar due to the likes of Clarke and Shackleton.

The teenager has scored some impressive goals for the club’s academy and continues to shine.

Bielsa is surely aware of his talents, and in time, McCalmont will be a first-teamer.
