Wolves know that victory over local rivals Birmingham City on Sunday will see them confirm promotion and a return back to the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men comfortably overcame Derby last night with goals from Diogo Jota and a stunner from Ruben Neves.

Whilst Neves' goal has deservedly taken all the plaudits, Jota's strike got Wolves off to a fantastic start and allowed them to control the game.

The forward made a clever run to beat the offside trap and was found by a fine ball from Willy Boly. When faced up against Scott Carson, the on-loan Atletico Madrid man instantly controlled before calmly finishing.

It was Jota's 15th goal of the season with the former Porto attacker looking like his old self after missing two games last month through injury.

As our graphic shows, there was a lot more to Jota's game than the goal, with his celever movement and ability on the ball a constant problem for the Rams defence.

The 3-4-3 formation that Santo adopts allows Jota and the othe rforward players freedom to move around to get involved in the play.

And, his four dribbles and 30 passes show how he was intelligent in his movement to get in the right positions - as he did for his goal.

Importantly, his four attempts at goal prove how he was also a goal threat and a good outlet for the rest of the team.

Wolves are on the verge of returning to the Premier League after last night, where once again Diogo Jota had a big say in matters.
