Another busy day in the EFL, here we highlight the four biggest EFL stories of the day.......

Fulham manager Scott Parker has a battle on his hands if he wants to hold onto top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic, with Serie A club Genoa poised to make a January move, according to Calciomercato.

Mitrovic is in excellent form for his club so far this season, having scored 12 goals in 16 appearances for the Cottagers as he’s fired them up into the play-off places.

Carlisle United have sacked manager Steven Pressley after 10 months in charge of the League Two club, it has been confirmed on the club website, with the Cumbrians in 19th place in the fourth tier.

"Steven has given his all and has worked tirelessly since the day he joined us," chairman Andrew Jenkins said in a statement adding "We understand the challenges and have supported him throughout, but we haven't seen the evidence of progress we expected or needed to see. This is not something we can allow to continue, so sadly it is time to change, move on and look forward."

QPR loanee striker Nahki Wells has exclusively told talkSPORT that his desire is to remain at Loftus Road on a permanent basis and help the R's push for promotion, that he believes can still be achieved this season.

Wells, 29, is on-loan from Burnley for a second spell and with his contract at Turf Moor expiring next summer the player is keen to secure his long-term future at Loftus Road.

Liverpool are planning to make a move for West Brom youngster Jovan Malcolm and they are looking to do so by the end of December,  according to Football Insider.

The Reds played Albion in a youth game and Malcolm scored four goals in a 6-3 win for the Baggies, with the 16-year-old impressing the Reds academy coaches in the victory and they are now preparing to swoop for the teenager.
