It is being reported in The Telegragh that former Derby County captain Richard Keogh has had his appeal against his sacking from the Rams turned down by the Championship outfit.

The former captain was dismissed when he decided not to accept the offer of a vastly reduced salary for the remainder of his £1.3million-a-year contract, which was due to expire at the end of next season.

And according to the Telegraph, Keogh's appeal was heard at Pride Park Stadium last Wednesday and a week later, the veteran defender was informed that Derby's decision stands to terminate his contract

Leicester and Wolves have joined the list of clubs who are interested in signing Leeds United loan star Ben White, with the 22-year-old also on the wish-list of both Manchester United and Liverpool, according to Phil Hay of the Athletic.

White is on loan at Elland Road from Brighton this season and has been a major part in Marcelo Bielsa's side having the tightest defence in the division at the moment

Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi faces a battle to hold onto one of his players with Everton setting their sights on Forest defender Joe Worrall as they look to strengthen their defence in January, it is being reported on Football Insider.

The Merseysiders are in the market for a new centre-back to provide cover and competition for places, with Toffees director of football Marcel Brands leading the pursuit of Worrall and keeping close tabs on him ahead of the winter window.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Matty Cash is reported to have agreed a new long-term contract with Nottingham Forest, with The Athletic claiming Cash has committed his long-term future to the club after being impressed by the ambitions at the City Ground.

Cash, joined the Reds’ Academy when he was 17, has shone in a new role under Sabri Lamouchi this season he started life as an attacking midfielder, but the 22-year-old has been utilised at right-back as Forest have shown their promotion credentials in the opening months of the campaign.
