It's been another busy day throughout the EFL, here we look at the four biggest EFL stories of the day......

Derby County manager Philip Cocu has already identified a January transfer target as he looks to get the Rams' promotion challenge back on track, with Blackpool striker Armand Gnanduillet an option, according to a report on Football Insider.

The Frenchman has already scored 12 goals in all competitions so far this season and is also out of contract at Blackpool next summer, all that leans towards the 27-year-old leaving for a cut-price fee in January.

Swansea City have joined the race to sign Celtic winger Jonny Hayes, with the 32-year-old out of contract next summer, with Stoke City already in the mix for the Republic of Ireland international who is playing an important role for Neil Lennon at Celtic Park this season.

Lennon is keen to hold onto Hayes, but with so much interest from south of the border the player is keeping his options open.

Qatari Sports Investment (QSI) the owners of Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly closing in on a takeover of Leeds United with discussions between the would-be investors and Leeds ongoing since before the summer and while nothing is finalised, recent talks have been positive, report ESPN.

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani also has interest from two other parties but his close relationship with PSG chief Nasser al-Khelaifi means QSI are in pole position to strike a deal.

Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer has received a boost after forward Macauley Bonne was cleared to carry on playing for the Addicks after undergoing heart scans last week, it is reported on LondonNewsOnline.

The 24-year-old was forced to drop out of international duty with Zimbabwe and announced on Twitter it was due to “unforeseen medical grounds”.

But Charlton issued a statement yesterday afternoon. It read: “The club’s medical team can confirm that Macauley Bonne underwent some planned cardiac investigations last week following a recent routine cardiac screen," adding “The results of these investigations have been discussed with the sports cardiologist and the player will continue to play and train as normal."
