Preston North End manager Alex Neil could have a battle on his hands if he wants to hold onto his goal-keeper Declan Rudd, amid a report on Football Insider that Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is keen on making a move for the 28-year-old in January.

Rudd has been at Deepdale permanently since 2017, having started his career at Norwich City, before spending loan spells at both Preston and Charlton.
