After parting ways with Ersun Yanal, Fenerbahce need to appoint a new manager until the end of the season, especially after first-team coach Zeki Murat Gole left his temporary role after two games and this has led Turkish media outlet Fotospor to claim that Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has set his sights on West Brom boss Slaven Bilic.

Fenerbahce had been interested in former Bayer Leverkusen and Red Bull Salzburg boss Roger Schmidt before the German joined PSV Eindhoven and Fotospor claim the Turkish side now want to bring in the Croatian coach.

The 51 year old, who had a two-year spell at Besiktas, is Ali Koc’s preferred choice but Fotospor report the West Brom man isn’t interested in returning to the Super Lig.

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has weighed in on the situation at Charlton Athletic, that see's executive chairman Matt Southall at loggerheads with majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan said: “I have a great deal of empathy with the Charlton fans," adding “He’s [Southall] an ex football agent and I’m sorry, but they are what they are," before going onto say, “I find it hard to see how Nimer is going to sit there while a paid executive chairman is teeing off and saying what he likes. There is only going to be one winner.”

Leeds United intend to activate the €5.5m option in their loan arrangement with French Ligue 2 side FC Lorient to purchase the French youth international goalkeeper Illan Meslier, it is reported by L'Equipe.

The 20-year-old has convinced Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa and the Leeds board of his talent, having initially joined last August to provide cover for first--choice Kiko Casilla, though recently he has been thrown into action, after the ex-Real Madrid goalkeeper was handed an 8-match ban for racially abusing Charlton attacker Jonathan Leko.
