The matches are coming thick and fast for sides at all levels of the EFL and with another full programme this coming weekend, here we catch our breath to looks at the four biggest EFL news stories of the day.....

Oxford United have confirmed via Twitter that they have "politely declined" Blackpool's approach to speak to head coach Karl Robinson about the vacant job at Bloomfield Road.

U's chairman Sumrith Thanakarnjanasuth thanked Blackpool "for going through the right procedure" and said interest in Robinson was "inevitable" going on to say he hopes 39-year-old Robinson will remain with Oxford for "many years to come," adding "Karl is a central part of what we are building."

Stoke City manager Michael O'Neill could be encouraged by the noises coming out of Villa Park, after Football Insider revealed that the Villans intend to offload centre-back James Chester when his contract expires in the summer.

Chester, 31, is currently on loan at Stoke City having moved to the bet365 Stadium in January, having fallen down the pecking order at Villa Park, meaning O'Neill may look to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Leeds United are tracking former Liverpool midfielder Cameron Brannagan following his impressive exploits for Oxford United, according to Football Insider, with Whites scouts having watched him on several occasions as they weigh up a formal approach.

The 23-year-old will have just one year remaining on his current Oxford deal in the summer and Karl Robinson might be tempted to sell rather than risk losing him for nothing in 12 months.

Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah will be out for at least six weeks after having surgery on a knee injury, it has been confirmed by Cottagers boss Scott Parker, after the ex-Tottenham player, 22, picked up a problem in Fulham's defeat by Barnsley at the weekend.

Former England Under-21 international Onomah has scored one goal in 26 games for the fourth-placed Cottagers this season, with his manager claiming "He gives us a different dynamic in the sense of what our other midfielders have got," adding "It looks like he'll probably be out for at least six weeks so that's a big disappointment."
