With the January transfer window approaching, AFC Wimbledon may be looking to offload some players in the squad in order to bring in some new faces at The Cherry Red Records Stadium.

Glyn Hodges' side have had a difficult start to the season, sitting in 20th place, with just 13 points. We take a look at four players who the Wimbledon manager could look to offload in January...

McLoughlin has been a fringe player this season for The Dons, starting once in the league, and making a further five appearances off the bench.

As Anthony Hartigan, Anthony Wordsworth and Callum Reilly can also play in central midfield, the 22-year-old Irishman could continue to struggle to break into the team and may seek new pastures.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian international forward has been underwhelming during his time at Wimbledon, scoring 16 goals in 69 appearances for The Dons.

Although it may be difficult to find a replacement in January, the club may want to cash in on a player that was linked with a move away from Kingsmeadow in the summer.

The goalkeeper re-signed for the club in the summer on a short-term deal after being released at the end of last season, but has only made one league appearance for The Dons this season.

As Glyn Hodges sees Nik Tzanev as his No.2, McDonnell may become surplus to requirements once Tzanev returns from his loan spell at Sutton United at the beginning of January.

20-year-old Wood has been on Wimbledon's books since 2018 but has only made one league appearance for the club.

This season the striker has been sent on two loan spells to Burgess Hill Town and Leatherhead respectively. However, if his chances continue to be limited he may seek a move elsewhere.
