It has to be said, signing Jordan Rhodes even on loan, looked like risky business for Daniel Farke.

The Scot had flopped at Sheffield Wednesday and there were doubts over his commitment and ability.

Whilst Norwich are struggling for a break this season, drawing their opening game and losing this Saturday against West Brom, one pleasing aspect of their performances will be the emergence of Rhodes as a 90-minute striker once more.

The 28-year old last completed 90 minutes for Sheffield Wednesday on New Year's Day as they lost 3-0 to Burton Albion. Ever since he's been withdrawn early, sometimes as early as the 45th minute, or he's had a cameo at the end of a game.

His switch to Carrow Road has changed that, this weekend's thrilling 4-3 reverse against West Brom became his second full 90 minutes in a row.

Despite being on the wrong end of the result, Rhodes managed to get himself off the mark for his new club.

FLW shines a spotlight on Jordan Rhodes, looking to find a hint that he might be the saviour of the Canaries this season.

As we've mentioned, Rhodes played the whole game this week and bagged a 24th minute opener. The world looked rosy for the home side after his goal, but a topsy turvy game eventually ended with them on the lesser side of a seven goal thriller.

Rhodes turned in a typically robust display, winning four aerial duels and weighing in with four shots on goal too. He looks to be settling quickly in his new side and formed a nice partnership with Teemu Pukki, who grabbed the second for Norwich.

Rhodes also drew a single foul from the opposition defence, just another involvement from a player who often look disinterested and alone in the blue of Wednesday.

His passing is still a little awry, he managed 62.5% pass accuracy which could be better, but as a striker scoring a goal it could be said he did his job well.

Will his involvement be enough to keep Norwich out of the bottom three? Not single handed, no. If he keeps doing the things he's good at and the defence stop shipping goals, then maybe they'll have a chance and come May, Sheffield Wednesday might be able to recoup some of that huge transfer fee he owes them.
