Sheffield Wednesday face one of their biggest tests of the season as they face West Brom this weekend.

The Owls are on a run of three games without a win and will be hoping for three points to put pressure on the Championship's top six sides.

A trip to the Hawthorns is never easy, particularly when Slaven Bilic's side are leading the way in the second tier and look determined to make one of the automatic promotions spots their own.

Garry Monk's side will need to do something different if they're to break down the Baggies' defence, but thankfully they have a striker who is unlike any other.

Atdhe Nuhiu isn't a player who is regarded as a first team regular, but he certainly knows how to give defenders a hard time.

Here we take a look at the striker and why he could be ready to start against West Brom.

No one will ever claim that Atdhe Nuhiu is a prolific striker, but my word would you hate to play against him.

The 6ft 6 Kosovan may not look like a footballer, but he's made quite a name as one of the most effective target men in the Championship.

Nuhiu has featured 12 times for Sheffield Wednesday this term, with just four of those appearances coming in the starting XI.

That means that he's played just 414 minutes in the league this term - something which makes his statistics pretty impressive.

While only scoring once and picking up one assist, Nuhiu has won an average of 4.8 aerial duels per appearance this season.

Nuhiu has averaged 34.5 minutes in each of his 12 appearances, which means that the 30-year-old has won an aerial duel almost every seven minutes that he's been on the pitch.

That is impressive.

If Garry Monk was to start the Kosovan against West Brom, he would certainly ensure that their defenders came away from the game having been in a battle.

Set pieces could also be huge for the Owls at the Hawthorns, and once again, Nuhiu's aerial presence could just make the difference.

He might not be the most polished of strikers, but Monk should take a serious look in his squad at how they might just ruffle some feathers.
