The Championship is back this weekend after a week off thanks to the FA Cup 3rd round action that was taking place up and down the country.

For Birmingham City, though, the change of competition didn't halt their recent good form as they followed up wins in the league over Leeds and Reading with a win over Burton Albion last weekend.

The Blues, then, though still in the relegation battle, are beginning to show signs of recovery and with the table so tight down at the bottom, keeping this form up should see them begin to clamber up the standings.

It's not going to be easy, though, as they face a stern test this weekend as high flying Derby County and former manager Gary Rowett arrive at St. Andrew's tomorrow afternoon.

With that in mind, then, we've been thinking about the potential XI that the Blues could field to try and get a result and we'd make minimal changes from the recent side that beat the Brewers last time out:

Indeed, the only tweak we'd make is bringing David Davis out of the side and replacing him with Jota who is rated at £4.5m.

The former Brentford man has not been as good as fans might have hoped this season but he still has the talent to unlock one of the best defences in the league right now.

He'll have to operate more centrally, though, as Jacques Maghoma and Jeremie Boga are in good form and deserve to stay out wide.
