We here at Football League World are running a series of debates revolving around certain players and particular EFL matters.

The latest of our debates relates to Sheffield Wednesday talisman Fernando Forestieri and Birmingham City's new signing Jota, and we’ve posed the question as to who is actually better between the two.

Both players are incredibly similar in-terms of playing style and enjoy dribbling with the ball and playing in between the lines, but who's actually the better footballer?

Jota, rated at a surprise market value of £1.08m by Transfermarkt, secured a switch to Harry Redknapp's Birmingham City from Brentford and Blues fans will be hoping he can replicate the impressive form he showcased at the west London outfit.

The Spaniard has already accrued three assists this season so far, and is undoubtedly one of the best attacking midfielders outside of the Premier League.

But is he better than £4.5m-rated Fernando Forestieri?

The 27-year-old has been a bit of an outcast at Sheffield Wednesday so far this season, having been involved in a training ground bust-up with striker Sam Winnall.

The midfielder has now been ruled out for three months due to a knee injury, and is expected to return around December time.

But when on form, the attacker is a sensational player, and is often the main source of creativity for the Owls.

So who is better between the both? Get involved in our Twitter debate below:
