Adam Forshaw is a player that has divided opinion amongst Leeds United supporters this season, and it's clear to see why.

The midfielder has made a number of costly errors and has hardly set the world alight with recent performances for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Forshaw arrived at Elland Road from Middlesbrough for a hefty fee of £4.5m and he's not exactly justified that sizeable price tag that he was signed for.

His recent poor run of form hasn't gone unnoticed, but he could be set to miss Leeds' next game this weekend with a knee injury, which is sure to leave the midfielder frustrated.

The 27-year-old was in line to face his former side this weekend, and he'll be bitterly disappointing to have picked up the injury, but he'll have faint hope of being fit for this one.

However, Marcelo Bielsa has already confirmed that Kalvin Phillips is due to start against Boro, which could mean that Forshaw has been dropped from the starting XI.

The game against Middlesbrough would have been the perfect chance for Forshaw to put on a good display for Leeds and prove to both sets of supporters, just what he can bring to the Leeds side.

He's a player that's under a considerable amount of pressure, which is understandable given that he hasn't shown what he can offer this Leeds side as they challenge for promotion this season.

If you put yourself in Forshaw's position, you're going to be doing everything you can to make sure you're fit for the game this weekend, as it's the perfect place to silence all of the critics you have in the Riverside.

But at the same time, he'll be fearing that one more poor showing, could ultimately cost him his place in the starting XI for the remainder of this year's league campaign.
