4-5-1: Warnock must field this Cardiff City XI to beat Ipswich Town this weekend

With just nine games to go and not much to play for, Cardiff City’s priorities will certainly be on next season.

The Bluebirds sit in 13th place in the Championship – 10 points adrift of the bottom three and 14 points off the top six, but Warnock will be expecting his side to have a strong finish to the end of the season.

The South Wales side come into the game against Ipswich Town in relatively good form – losing just twice in their last eight games, winning three times and drawing three as well.

The Suffolk-based side are also in a similar position to Cardiff – probably doing enough to guarantee themselves their Championship status, but too far adrift to push for a play-off place.

Mick McCarthy’s men seem to be the drawing experts over the past six weeks after drawing six consecutive games in a row – all 1-1 ties apart from their 0-0 result against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Cardiff City seem to have a bit more about them than Ipswich: the Tractor Boys are a hard side to break down, but in front of their home fans, the Bluebirds have won four out of their last six games that should see them come out on top.
