Sheffield Wednesday have recently picked up pace in the Sky Bet Championship campaign, winning three out of four times in September, after only managing to pick up one win in August.

A last gasp winner from Kieran Lee on Saturday afternoon ensured that Wednesday would take all three points against Nottingham Forest, whilst also making it three wins on the bounce in front of the Hillsborough faithful.

However, Carlos Carvalhal will be displeased with the Owls' position in the league table, sitting in 11th position after four wins, two draws, and three losses, after nine league games.

On Tuesday night, they face a Blackburn Rovers side who have found it tough thus far this campaign, however after two successive victories, Owen Coyle's men aren't short on confidence going into the fixture.

Here, FLW writer George Harbey, names his Owls' starting eleven that will surely defeat Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Tuesday night...

GK: Keiren Westwood

The Republic of Ireland international has made 82 appearances for the Owls, and was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year last term.

An unstoppable force between the sticks.

RB: Jack Hunt

After a successful loan spell from Crystal Palace last season, the 25-year-old sealed a permanent move to Hillsborough in the summer.

Expect to see Hunt start at right-back on Tuesday night.

CB: Tom Lees

The 25-year-old former Leeds United man has recently stood in for Glenn Loovens as club captain, and has made 84 appearances for Carvalhal's men.

CB: Sam Hutchinson

The versatile defender, who can also operate as a holding midfielder, featured alongside Lees in Saturday's fixture against Nottingham Forest, and looks to feature alongside him once again.

LB: Daniel Pudil

The Czech attacking left back has missed out on the last few games for Wednesday, however looks set for a return to the starting lineup on Tuesday night, following Carlos Carvalhal's confirmation that he looks to be available.

RM: Ross Wallace

The pacey 5 ft 7 winger has been instrumental for the Owls, ever since signing from Burnley last term.

He has gone on to make 37 appearances for Wednesday, assisting 10 times and netting 3 times.

CM: Kieran Lee

The 28-year-old was the saviour for Wednesday on Saturday, netting a stoppage time winner to secure three points for the Owls.

He has made 134 appearances for the Owls, and has scored 16 times.

CM: Barry Bannan

Named in the Championship Team of the Year last term, Bannan looks to play yet another influential role in Wednesday's promotion push once again this season in the middle of the park.

LM: Adam Reach

The Hillsborough faithful have failed to see the best of the former Middlesbrough winger, who has been providing cover at left back for Daniel Pudil the last couple of games, however will more than likely start on the left flank on Tuesday night.

ST: Steven Fletcher

Fletcher will no doubt want to add to his goalscoring tally, after netting twice in eight games since signing from Sunderland in the summer.

His presence in the box will no doubt contribute his strike partner as well.

ST: Fernando Forestieri

forestieriiii

Many would opt to leave the Italian out, and play Gary Hooper instead, however for a player of Forestieri's quality, it'll be hard to see Carvalhal leave the forward out.

He scored 15 times in a season where the Owls came agonisingly close to promotion via the playoffs last term.
